4XEM’s 8-Pin to 30-Pin Lightning Adapter lets your old Apple 30-Pin gear play nice with the new 8-Pin connector

We love our new iPhone 5s and iPad Minis here at the 4XEM offices, but that new 8-Pin Lightning connector Apple dreamt up has kinda thrown us for a loop. Yeah, it’s smaller and reversible and more efficient at charging our devices, but what the heck are we supposed to do now with all the old school 30-Pin cables, docks and other gear we bought for our old iPhones, iPads and iPods?

Anticipating a small revolt, Apple came out with their own Lightning adapter to make the new 8-Pin play nice with the old 30-Pin gear. We thought it cost too much. So we sourced and produced our own adapter.  The 4XEM 8-Pin to 30-Pin Lightning Adapter has a 30-Pin female connection on the one end and a durable 8-Pin Lightning connector on the other. It snaps on easily to your Apple accessories and turns any 30-Pin instantly into an 8-Pin.

It works great for charging and syncing your iDevice and for USB audio out. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do video output. If you need video out options, keep an eye on www.4xem.com. We’re working on some solutions.

The 8-Pin to 30-Pin Lightning Adapter from 4XEM.  Problem solved.

My partner and I stumbled over here from a different page and thought I may as well check things out.
I like what I see so i am just following you.
Look forward to looking over your web page repeatedly.

I bought one of these, but when I tried it with my iPhone 5S it doesn’t work. My iPhone tells me this accessory isn’t supported. 😦
Guess I’ll have to return them and buy the “official Apple” products.

Hey Jason, sorry to hear about that. The adapters do still work, they just give the message which you can ignore. You no doubt received one of our older adapters not optimized for iOS7. We’ve pulled them out of stock, but some units remain out there. Visit our website, fill out an RMA request and we’ll get our updated ones out to you pronto!
